Frequently Asked Questions

What is Ariel Loves?

Hi, and welcome! Ariel Loves is a digital vintage salon offering statement pieces from the 60s & 70s, as well as modern day, pre-loved garments. Everything is selected by Ariel (that’s me!) and I choose pieces for their pristine condition, modern wearability, and the types of special occasions where they could be worn—usually milestone birthdays, weddings, or other meaningful events.

What is your return policy?

At this time, all sales are final and I cannot accept returns for purchases from Ariel Loves. Measurements, imperfections, and any specific notes are mentioned on the product listing for each item. If you have any questions about an item before purchasing, please email hi@shoparielloves.com (note: this does not hold an item for you and I cannot reserve items at this time).

Where do you source vintage?

I source from all over! The internet, back rooms at hidden gems, Narnia-sized closets—you get the idea. I take inspiration from movies (past and present), celebrities, and art; once I get an idea for a piece in my head, I search high and low until I find it.

I don’t see anything in my size! What do I do?

Oh no! Please understand size inclusivity is so important to me as I build Ariel Loves. As a first time buyer for a vintage shop, I am constantly looking for pieces in a range of sizes that I feel best flatter you and fit into the Ariel Loves aesthetic. However, it’s never a good feeling to go to a shop and not see anything in your size; if this is the case for you today, please email hi@shoparielloves.com and I will do my best to make it right.

How much does shipping cost?

Currently, I am shipping items by their weight and dimensions, so the shipping cost may vary depending on the item. You can see the shipping for an individual item by adding it to your cart and heading to the checkout process. As I learn and grow as a vintage shop owner, this process may change, so please bear with me!

How do I take my own measurements? Or how do I know if something will fit me?

First up: never just go off the tagged size when buying vintage. Especially with secondhand pieces, it’s tough to know whether it has shrunk in the wash or been altered by a previous owner. To ensure your purchases fit properly, take your own measurements (and keep them somewhere handy!) for you to reference when shopping online. For Ariel Loves pieces, I take measurements at the bust, natural waist, and widest part of the hips with the item laying flat, and then double it for the final size. Here’s a great, informative video demonstrating how to take your own measurements.
